The Town of The Plains, Virginia Town Planning Commission meets every month on the first Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Meetings are held in the second floor meeting room of the The Plains Fire Department located at 4260 Loudoun Avenue.

Planning Commission members are appointed for four-year terms by the Mayor and Town Council. The Planning Commission is responsible for Planning, Zoning and Subdivision matters. The Commission makes recommendations to the Town Council. The Planning Commission has a part-time administrator to assist with the day-to-day affairs of maintaining a planning program and enforcement of the various land use codes. The Zoning Administrator/Subidvision Administrator is appointed by the Town Council.

Any application, fees and materials should be provided a week prior to the regular monthly meeting date to assure placement on the agenda.
